Advancements in care have improved survival rates from 25% to 90% for heart warriors in the U.S. Today, 98% of children with moderate to severe heart disease are surviving. An estimated 2 million adults are living with CHD in the U.S. Sadly, 90% of heart children live in poor regions of the world with little or no access to care.
We focus on changing the long-term outcomes for those living with childhood-onset heart conditions and their families because it is more than surviving, it’s about thriving. We also link arms with global partners to support increased access to high-quality and affordable pediatric heart care.
Our mission is to improve outcomes in pediatric heart care by collaborating with innovators on cutting edge advancements.
We focus on:
Leveraging prediction for early recognition
Using precision for personalized care
Protecting quality of life through prevention
Innovative Care at Home
Less Invasive Treatment
Smarter Inpatient Care
Life-Saving Community Care
- Develop tools to empower positive fitness and mental wellbeing
- Innovative treatments in the cardiac catheterization lab to decrease the number of open-heart surgeries a child needs
- Leverage Artificial Intelligence as a smoke alarm to prevent sudden death in an ICU
- Provide the community with easy, fun, bystander CPR and AED training

“Pediatric cardiac intensivists are firefighters who need a good smoke alarm like artificial intelligence technology to give us advanced warning to help a patient proactively and minimize reactionary care.”
“The 3D printer was remarkably helpful. I am very confident that this will aid the patient’s transplant…and allow me to perform the procedure faster. This can translate into a difference in patient outcome. The work you guys are doing is very valuable. I appreciate it very much.”
“Technology inspires us to turn limitations into possibilities giving heart warriors and their families tangible hope.”
“Vascular Access is so important when treating patients, especially our smallest friends…This allows us to decrease the amount of attempts which decreases pain and anxiety for our patients…This will allow us to confirm placement in the moment and start life saving medications sooner…We are always striving to give the best care possible and with this donation we will be able to give the excellent care that our patients deserve.”
“The main benefit of using an artificial intelligence platform such as T3 is to fully understand the patient’s clinical state–we can appreciate the child’s clinical status in real time as well as go back to analyze data or events that have occurred to understand how to improve care.”
“We chose fund T3 because it’s technology that could have saved Ollie’s life had it been around when he was alive.”
“If we can leverage technology in the cardiac cath lab that avoids a child needing open heart surgery in the first weeks of life then it’s better for the child and the family. I know it’s weird for a surgeon to say let’s avoid surgery but if we want better outcomes we have to move towards less invasive care.”
