TAMIR
Tamir was born on August 27, 2020, and from the beginning, he faced a battle for his life. Despite numerous visits to doctors, the cause of Tamir’s health struggles remained difficult to understand until he was referred to Children’s Hospital in Chicago, which specializes in more complex care.
Upon arriving at the Children’s Hospital in Chicago, it was revealed that Tamir was in heart failure, requiring a new heart. The following two years marked a challenging journey for Tamir as he fought for his life, spending 11 months in the hospital, patiently awaiting the right heart. The turning point came on September 1, 2023, when the family received the long-awaited call announcing the availability of a heart for Tamir. He underwent a successful heart transplant on September 2, 2023, and the family is currently in the hospital, eagerly awaiting their return home.
Tamir’s resilience shines through; he is a fighter. From his arrival at the Children’s Hospital in Chicago in November, Tamir has shown remarkable progress post-heart transplant. He continues to face significant challenges at three years old but is now thriving.
“He is our sweet little boy who loves his family and has now discovered the joy of play, embodying the spirit of strength and resilience,” says his mom.
